Ubuntu LiveUSB

This is a tool to create a bootable Live USB stick from the running Ubuntu Live CD.
It was made in response to Ubuntu Brainstorm idea #16.


It performs the following actions:

Detects available USB sticks (using HAL) and asks user which one to use
Partitions USB stick with 1 partition
Sets partition bootable
Writes MBR to USB stick
Formats partition FAT16
Installs bootloader (syslinux) to partition
Writes bootloader configuration file
Copies necessary files from running Live CD to USB stick
Sets language and keyboard of USB Live system to match running Live CD
Optionally: Downloads and integrates Adobe Flash Player

CAUTION: This is experimental software. Do not use on production systems.
Install the deb only when running from the Live CD.

把u盘分成一个分区。

Sets partition bootable
Writes MBR to USB stick
Formats partition FAT16
把分区格式化成fat16，用syslinux来引导。

Copies necessary files from running Live CD to USB stick
应该是复制filesystem.squashfs.

做ubuntu的liveusb，U盘要重新分区，这样方法太暴力了。
还是用别的定制版吧，pud，slax，prayaya，puppy，不会破坏U盘数据，支持所有分区。

看不懂!

刚刚试过LS老兄介绍的UNetbootin,好像也是用syslinux的！不过，U盘没有能启动，而是显示"Boot Error"请问，哪位高手可以帮帮小弟！

同问，我的是8.04,用Liveusb制作的Usb启动盘，提示“ebios load error-boot error

我也曾经出现过这个问题,建议上网找一下相应的U盘主控芯片量化工具吧,我的U盘也是这样修复的!

我2G的U盘也是boot error
