用linux就是一种自由，多种发行版更提供了选择的自由cai_jc 写了：不带偏见地说：给你一个win的源码盘，再给你一个win的安装盘。你会用哪个？你会费上好几天时间去编译那个源码盘，然后获得一个比我快10%的win吗？如果你是win专家，你的专业就是这个，那我可以理解；但我不是。我的主要目的是使用linux，把它当作一个操作系统来使用，所以没必要那么做。而且我相信所谓编译gentoo也只是配置些config文件和makefile参数，回答系统的一些问题(你的系统是怎样的，装哪个不装哪个)，然后就是漫长的等待！这又能如何呢？会学到多少linux的精髓？为什么不能先装个编译好的发行版，然后去下载源码看得爽？

我已经从GENTOO觉悟了，回到了ARCH。主要是机器破，更主要是没时间。cvgmt 写了：感觉就像练武，练到 Fedora 是第一重，因为大部分都不用自己安装；练到 Ubuntu 是第二重，因为有一半的软件都要自己配置安装，练到 Gentoo 估计是第三重，都要自己配置安装，现在用的是 Ubuntu，因此向往第三重的 Gentoo。
