When installing the wine,I could not connect internet?

when i intalled the wine in my Ubuntu6.10, the system became slowly. I could not see the bar uppon and buttom , then I had a foolish command,rebooted it. I logined in the system again, then I input "sudo pppoeconf" command to install the ADSL mode to connect the internet. But it output the other interface and gave some errors. Here are the error :

I don't know how to resolve it, so I load the system by Live cd and ask you to help me!
