菜鸟求救：升级后无法使用键盘

我的电脑是Dell Inspiron 1420，处理器T8100，显卡NVIDIA GeForce 8400MGS
遇到的问题：
安装完Ubuntu 8.10，kernel 2.6.27-4-generic，sudo apt-get update，sudo apt-get upgrade之后重启
结果一直停留在那个大大的Ubuntu标志处
用last success boot启动，到了登录界面无法输入，caps lock、number lock也都无效，但按alt+F1会出现花屏，Ctrl+alt+delete也是

各位大大，遇到这种问题应该怎么办啊？

混用源，你到底安抓刚能的是哪个版本，怎么有8.04的源，也有7.04的源，居然还有debian的源
