我的情况就像上面内容一样，根本无法安装和启动！这样要怎样解决？？重装很多次都是这样就停住了，刻录了光盘出来安装还是这样！

在启动到 grub 界面的时候，
1. 选择你要启动的选项，比如"Ubuntu 8.04.1, kernel 2.6.24-21-generic"，
2. 然后在上面按字母 "e" 进入编辑模式，在

kernel          /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.24-21-generic root=...

这一条的最后输入 irqpoll
3. 然后试试使用修改后的启动项启动系统。
如果成功的话，进行系统后修改一下 grub 菜单，以保证每次都能够正常启动：
1. sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
2. 从打开的文件中寻找到类似下面的一行：

# defoptions=splash vga=791

注意，在 defoptions 之前有一个 # 号。在这一行的最后添加 irqpoll，使这一行看起来类似如下：

3. 运行 sudo update-grub 即可。
