新买的显示器不能达到最佳分辨率，怎么办？

我用的ubuntu8。04，
换了Acer的22寸Acer V223HQ， 不能达到最佳分辨率，最大只能是1600＊1200，
我要的是1920＊1080，没有这个选项
网上搜所，改了xorg文件，没任何反应，还是没有1920＊1080这个选项！ 谁能解决，谢了：）

改成 Modes "1920x1080""1600x1200" 也不行啊，依然没有任何改变
