Installing ubuntu9.04,i can't log in any OS(XP and ubuntu)
I first installed ubuntu9.04 under XP sp3 using WUBI.Then i uninstall it .After that i install ubuntu9.04 on hardware C:/ ,not using LiveCD.
Finishing the installation,it need to be restart. Then neither XP nor ubuntu i can log in,because there are not OS lists for me to choose, and just only can enter MenTest 86.
Now i use LiveCD to mount the hardware, check the menu.lst.
The following are the menu.lst:
# menu.lst - See: grub(8), info grub, update-grub(8)
# grub-install(8), grub-floppy(8),
# grub-md5-crypt, /usr/share/doc/grub
# and /usr/share/doc/grub-doc/.

# is the entry saved with the command 'savedefault'.
# WARNING: If you are using dmraid do not use 'savedefault' or your
# array will desync and will not let you boot your system.

No No No, you misunderstood my words. I install on the hardware by storing the ubuntu9.04.iso on the C:/.wangdu2002 写了:wubi我不怎么懂,帮你顶下。

Re: Installing ubuntu9.04,i can't log in any OS(XP and ubuntu)
Applications-Accessories-Terminal
sudo -i
mount /dev/sda7 /mnt
echo "title windows" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
echo "rootnoverify (hd0,0)" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
echo "chainloader +1" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
sudo -i
mount /dev/sda7 /mnt
echo "title windows" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
echo "rootnoverify (hd0,0)" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst
echo "chainloader +1" >> /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst

Re: Installing ubuntu9.04,i can't log in any OS(XP and ubuntu)
