今天用硬盘安装的方式（在xp下用grup4dos引导，不是用的wubi方式），安装了ubuntu 9.04，估计是到安装选择最后一步的时候没选好，安装完成后重启，直接进入ubuntu了，没有出现引导菜单。
后来在网上搜索了一下，改了一下/boot/grub/menu.lst文件，在末尾加了：
title Microsoft Windows XP Professional
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
chainloader +1
重启后，要按ESC键才能显示引导菜单，选择winXP后能进入xp系统。

现在我想知道：
1、如何能启动就显示引导选择菜单，不需要按ESC键？
2、能默认系统winXP，比如自动过10秒就自动进入。
3、安装过程选择的最后的时候，要怎么选择比较好？

下面的供参考，Default是默认的启动项，我的如果改为3,就可以默认启动XP。Timeout是等待时间。

然后把那个xp的那个放到其他启动项的前面
