从移动硬盘启动安装ubuntu 出错 could not find the iso ？求救！！

80G移动硬盘，分8G活动分区，FAT32格式。用来安装系统。
diskgenius分区格式化的移动硬盘。
grub4dos做的引导。
menu.LST如下：

winPE.iso 正常启动。
centos也能安装。
就是ubuntu 选中后出现ubuntu10.10 走了几个点点点后 出现这个错误：

(initramfs) /scripts/casper-premount/20iso_scan: line 46 can't open /dev/sr0: no medium found

could not find the iso /ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso

换了个ubuntu-10.04.2-server-i386.iso 也不行。。。

求救高手们！！！！

大小写也没有问题，我是放在vm里面做的。
后来为了测试其他的系统是否在pc机上好用，用真机启动，结果ubuntu也是可以正常启动安装的。。。。。

看来menu.lst是正确的。。。。 就是不知道为什么vm里面会这样？

vm 基本上还没有不支持的系统。各种linux都能安装。
ubuntu10.10 desktop版 用iso安装成功的。

估计就是和(hd0,0)有关，(hd0,0)是存放initrd.gz和vmlinuz的位置。
一般情况下，
C盘是(hd0,0)；
D盘是(hd0,4);
E盘是(hd0,5);
F盘是(hd0,6);
....
我自己是这么理解的，希望对你有帮助。

首先你的kernel /Ubuntu10.10/vmlinuz boot=casper iso-scan/filename=/ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso quiet splash ro locale=zh_CN.UTF-8 这个里面的文件名就是ubuntu-10.10-desktop-i386.iso，跟windows里面的iso文件的名字不能有错，包括后缀名。其次你的root(hd0,0)这一个也需要，这个是指定你的vmlinuz是在那个分区下面。然后你的iso文件最好放在根目录，不要包含在文件夹里面，而且你放iso文件的分区也必须是fat32格式。
