event sounds are now taken from themes according to the fd.o sound theme spec. Sound themes are installed in /usr/share/sound/<themename>. The gconf key controlling the current theme is /desktop/gnome/sound/theme_name. An example of a sound theme can be found here: http://people.freedesktop.org/~mccann/d ... .2.tar.bz2

debian 里也是这样，不知道把那个设定程序塞哪个包里了。ubuntu 里专门有个补丁把 gnome-sound-properties 弄回 gnome-control-center 。

gnome-sound-properties是ubuntu专有的？我开始在pacman AUR上找了半天都没找到。。。。。
能不能通过修改 ~/.gconf/gnome/desktop/sound里的那个xml文件达到效果？

不是 ubuntu 专有，旧版 gnome 声音选项就是在控制中心里，在 2.26 中好像就挪到 gnome-volume-control 去了，debian arch 这些原味的就跟着变了，ubuntu 有自己的补丁改回旧模式。
