Reporting bugs and helping the team to solve them is one of the best ways you can get started in the Ubuntu community.

Please reports bugs in the Ubuntu Bugzilla.

The process for dealing with bugs is still evolving. At present, we prioritise which bugs need to be fixed at what stage in the release and assign developers to fix bugs for the next phase of release manually within the team.

Please submit bugs there, as well as requests for new functionality. If the new functionality is substantial, it might be better to create a page on the Ubuntu Wiki describing the feature, and get people to comment on it and clarify it, before filing the bug and pointing at that wiki page in the bug description.
