NX operates on Linux, UNIX, and Windows XP and newer. NX 5 was supposed to be available for Mac OS X; this never occured. Then Siemens was planning on releasing a OS X version for NX 6 (only basic CAD and CAM modules, with all modules planned for NX 7), but OS X support was not included in NX 6. Then OS X support was slated for NX 6.0.1.x in Sept 08, but 6.0.1 was also released without OS X support
