ubuntu 版本8.10 一直用的好好的 显卡是ati的集成x1100 之前用的驱动不记得是什么 没有手动装过 当时升级成8.10的时候就装好了

前几天系统不知道更新了什么包 因为很久没进来 一次更新了很多 重启以后系统启动过程中提示fglrx错误 到登录输入用户名密码的阶段屏幕花屏。。并且下半部分隐约能看出是windows vista关机的话面。。看来显存的内容没有释放被直接读过来了

同时启动过程中提示 Running DKMS auto installation service for kernel 2.6.24-16-generic fglrx(8.476) 这一项 failed

我尝试过：

通过启动的recovery mode进行xfix。无效

进入root卸载了ati的驱动 进系统了 但是只有1280*1024的4:3分辨率

请问我该怎么办？尝试用envyNG安装驱动 提示找不到header sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r)

现在没有可用的软件包 linux-headers-2.6.24-16-generic，但是它被其它的软件包引用了。
这可能意味着这个缺失的软件包可能已被废弃，
或者只能在其他发布源中找到
E: 软件包 linux-headers-2.6.24-16-generic 还没有可供安装的候选者

现在的状况有些奇怪 不知道现在在用的是什么驱动 好象是受限驱动和9.2的混合体 在“系统”“系统管理”“硬件驱动”里面fglrx驱动是灰色 点击“激活”弹出一个小进度条一秒之后消失 仍然是灰色

系统已经是1680*1050全屏显示 但是“外观”中“视觉效果”仍然无法打开

fglrxinfo和glxinfo反馈信息异常

问题解决了

察觉到可能是内核不支持当前的DKMS，于是查看了系统安装的内核update-grub
发现在用的是最老的一版 于是手动更新了menu.lst，系统进入新内核

用9.2的安装方法安装了9.2驱动，完成后顺利进入系统

唯一的不足就是ati的驱动无法做到硬件加速compiz。比如3d桌面和cube。桌面转动起来cpu消耗非常大。

希望卸载掉ati的驱动安装上默认驱动能解决这个问题。原先是默认驱动就可以硬加速。转动的时候cpu只会增加一点点

完全卸载了9.2之后 尝试用“系统”“系统管理”“硬件驱动”安装受限驱动，居然失败了，还弹出Crash的报告界面 让我回馈。。

这下不知道怎么办才好了 试试看以前的8系列驱动能不能用

崩溃了 原来装的时候说失败 并不意味着失败 重启以后居然就好了

cpu占用也减到最小。。

事情是这样的：

如楼上所说 用envyNG卸载了9.2的驱动以后 重启 系统进入丑陋模式
选择安装受限驱动，到83%失败 第一次有一个提示（之后都没有了） 没看清楚是什么提示。。。点击提示会到达bug report页面 回到受限驱动仍然是灰色 再次点击“激活”有反应 到达58%消失 此后一直如此

不知所措中。。

下载了ati从8.11-9.1的驱动 先装了8.11

重启

ps.在这之间顺序不太记得了 是卸载了出问题的受限驱动还是没写在直接装的不记得 也可能都试过 因为其间重启了无数次删了装装了删。。出现怪现象。。每次安装受限驱动的时候虽然失败 envyNG中仍然可以看到驱动的版本号


继续，装好8.11 直接不能用 跟没装一样 没想太多准备装8.12 于是删掉8.11

删掉之后看到一个帖子 说更新源可能可以更新受限驱动 于是更新源 用了LUPA的源 因为我在国外更新很慢 等了半天两眼冒金星终于更新完了 出来很多新的东西 没有一个是跟驱动有关。。还是试试看。。于是尝试安装受限驱动 依然跟从前一样 失败了

于是修改回源 这时突然有个念头想看看这个受限驱动既然envyNG可以看见 那重启以后会不会有变化 于是重启，想如果不行就谢了装8.12

居然可以了。。。

到此这次时间完全结束。。。驱动安装完成。。。历时10个小时。。。现在时间凌晨6点23分。。。
