求助～NV官方驱动下分辨率、刷新率问题

小弟在Xubuntu 6.10下安装了NVIDIA的官方驱动（9631），启动X和3D渲染都没有问题，但是分辨率固定在800x600@60Hz，闪得要命～～
在论坛和网上搜过很多方法，包括在xorg.conf 中指定显示器行频和场频，以及在modes段手动指定分辨率"1024x768_85"，重启后情况都没有变化。在“显示设定”里没有任何分辨率设定项,只有一个Default；NVIDIA X Serer Settings中没有可选的其他分辨率，只有Auto，高级选项中无法指定分辨率。
小弟用的是GF4 MX4000，显示器NESO FD770A，以下是我现在的xorg.conf中有关显示的部分：

nvidia-settings 跟NVIDIA X Serer Settings还不是一回事？？我在里面没有找到什么有效的设置～
卸载官方驱动，重新安装源里面的nvidia-glx驱动也许可以，不过要实现3D加速是不是要装上nvidia-kernel-souce呢？
还有，NV的官方驱动是一个包，NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-9631-pkg1.run，要怎么卸载？？

源的本来可以。run的只能留着。nvidia-settings很方便的。

nvidia linux驱动相对其他GPU厂商是做得最好的。


mx4000显卡没用过，论坛上少见nvidia显卡驱动安装后刷新率有问题的


nvidia问题出得最多的是： 没有选择合适的源导致驱动装不上。

我用nviida +LCD的感受：安装完驱动后， 接着sudo nvidia-xconfig。

这样刷新率在1280*1024可以设到75HZ.

唉呀，我遇害到了跟楼主一样的问题啊。我的是GF4 440 AGP 8X的显卡
我用7184的驱动没有出现问题，但是不能用beryl，用9625和9631的驱动都是无法设置分辨率，显示 的是800X600@50HZ，这个时候可以用BERYL了，但是这样的分辨率，这样的闪屏，怎么能够忍受啊。
希望楼主得到解决办法告知我一声。

7184 没有OpenGL的好像。我GF2 MX200 安装 9631 没问题。

我用7184的驱动没有出现问题，但是不能用beryl，用9625和9631的驱动都是无法设置分辨率，显示 的是800X600@50HZ，这个时候可以用BERYL了，但是这样的分辨率，这样的闪屏，怎么能够忍受啊。
希望楼主得到解决办法告知我一声。

7184怎么装？ 我也是刷新率太低，眼睛疼得厉害。我宁可不要beryl....
