请使用deb或tar.gz包而不是rpm包.

如果下载的只有这种包的软件该如何处理呢？
当然这个软件可以下载其他包的，讨论一下

可以通过alien转换,不过效果极差.

为什么RPM包不能安装呢？
有什么直接的解决办法吗？

ubuntu继承自debian,使用deb包,而不是redhat(rpm)

下载了一个TAR.GZ的，运行情况如上。最后提示“准许否认”
不知道这是为什么呢？还没有让我输入序列号什么的呢

找到问题所在了，在我在windows里用RAR解出来的文件安装的，所以报上面的错误了。
直接用sudo tar zxvf命令解开的安装没问题了。
现在去安装XP了。

ct 写了：sudo ./usr/bin/vmware-config.pl

说下，这种时候不能加点的。点表明是当前目录下转。
