[问题]google-earth地球消失……以及图片灰色

大家有没有遇到google-earth里面打开照片是灰色的，不能显示的情况呢，怀疑是compiz的问题，但是又不懂怎么解决……
另外搞笑的是新装了google-earth最新版的，可是打开界面居然只见星星，不见地球！！！！

layers places好像是打开后才开始从网络更新，我这里要过一会后才有earth ,在layers places有内容前，只有星空。

打开后要等几秒钟,原来我没选 ？

我的系统也是ubuntu 8.10 +Google Earth 4.3.7284.3916 (beta) 出现了同样的情况，在左下角的 layers也为发现有何配置的选项？
下面是我的问题截图，希望有高手指点一下迷津。

"If You can't see Earth after install just change user rights of ~/.config/Google/ folder and .conf files inside it from root to yours."

Please mention how exactly am i supposed to do that?

Using the chown command.

In your home folder make follow

$ sudo chown username: .config/Google/*

where username=your home folder name.

Make notice that Google Earth 4.3 is now included Medibuntu repository of Ubuntu 8.04. So You can install GE 4.3 with Synaptic or command: "sudo apt-get install googleearth"

经过上述的设置，我的google 终于出现Earth了

卸载，重新安装，安装结束后不要点 start 运行，点后就是你那个结果，点quit退出，然后运行就可以了
