【求助】上网问题

校园网宽带上网
已经正确设置了ip，gateway，dns
可以在线更新，也可以上qq，但是无法打开网页
用firefox打开网页的时候总是提示：

www.****.com could not be found. please check the name and try again


用w3m结果如下：

$ w3m www.smth.org
w3m: Can't load www.smth.org.


请问该怎么办？

firefox里面也有代理设置的，不知道楼主设置了没有

没设置代理
刚装系统的时候用的是ADSL
现在是教育网，固定ip的，不需要代理服务器

用firefox不管输入什么网址都提示：
www.****.com could not be found. please check the name and try again

直接输入ip地址倒是能正常访问

我也怀疑是这个问题
但是我在windows下用的dns和ubuntu下用的完全一样
不该有什么问题啊

刚刚在firefox里设置了代理服务器
现在firefox能用了
问题似乎是firefox不能正确应用dns设置
有谁知道该怎么设置？
