Please help me!!!

Hello everyone!

My chinese is verybad I am an ABC (Australian born chinese), so i can only read very little chinese. My dad wanted pps on his ubuntu computer.

I just followed the instructions here

basically it is a shorter version of this thread . Anyway, i can see the pps plugin, i can browse the films and load them. they say "buffering" for a while then says:

"Could not open location; you might not have permission to open the file"

This also happens with my youtube plugin. I have tried to get help from english ubuntu forum, but it seems nobody uses pps there.

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

you can try a ppa source on launchpad,where have pps ,pplive ,and sopcast ,etc.

Sorry i have no idea what a ppa source is... most google searches seem to show me karmic (ubuntu 9.10) files?

额外的第三方源也可以加在/etc/apt/sources.list.d里面，另建一个文本文件ppa.list存放ppa源表就行了，这样可以与主源表分开管理。

Maybe you have to unset LD_PRELOAD.
