ubuntu 9.04 + IBM T41P 出现停止响应现象

这几天在我的IBM T41P 上装了 ubuntu 9.04, 使用过程中经常出现鼠标短时停止响应现象，特别是使用firefox浏览网页的时候
过一段时间有可能恢复；
尝试升级了firefox到3.5.2之后，仍有此现象。
T41P的显卡是:ATI FIREGL T2 128M, 系统安装好后默认就支持

不知道是什么原因？

have installed ubunt 8.04.3 LTS , this issue does not show again until now.
I have enabled the ATI accelerated graphics driver.

可以考虑单独分一个区玩玩；

两个 linux，用同一个swap 分区 不知可不可以；
