求助：关于启动时gnome error

在Ubuntu8下面，修改了/etc/network/interfaces文件(不方便透露IP地址，IP地址用*代替)内容如下:

重启进入系统之后，只显示一个图片，等了好久，就出现标题中的错误：
There was an error starting the GNOME Settings Daemon.
Some things, such as themes, sounds, or background settings may not work correctly.
The last error message was:
Did not receive a reply. Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken.
GNOME will still try to restart the Settings Daemon next time you log in.
从网上搜了一下，都说interfaces文件有问题，不过，我仔细检查了一下，应该没啥问题啊。求助大牛！
