我的双系统，点击ubuntu后grub出现错误error17:can't mount select partition

我按照找到的帖子进行了配置
首先事情是这样的
我在WIN下的磁盘管理器中把一些剩余的空间重建了个分区
然后重启后 XP与ubuntu都进不去：出现error17
我用XP安装盘修复了xp的启动
然后有用LIVEcd修复了ubuntu的grub
# sudo grub update
grub >find /boot/grub/stage1
grub > root (hd0,X-1)
grub > setup (hd0,X-1)
grub > quit
然后启动项倒是好了，两个系统都出现了
可是点击ubuntu还没进去便出现了错误error17:can't mount select partition
在google中搜了好多帖子，都有人问没人答，所以才来这里劳烦各位高手帮忙
大过年的，遇上这种问题很是不爽啊，一点过年的心情都没了
希望高手能尽量说详细一点

修改menu.lst里的root (hd0,*)

你改变了硬盘分区后UUID就变了，error17提示不能挂载分区，Live CD启动，终端下运行
代码： 全选
ls -al /dev/disk/by-uuid
查看分区UUID
然后
修改UUID信息，然后保存fstab文件，退出重启～～～～～～

how can i do with this?,i can not figure out
meanwhile,i can not edit fatab even i run as root user,Here is the reason

i can not edit menu.list eather
and it show the the same tips as fstab shows
how can i do ?
i think i have done a terrible job ,is there anything i can do to save my ubuntu system?

原来是我的路径没有输入正确
如果用livecd启动，gedit后 还要加上 media／disk

小弟是又加了第二块硬盘，单作为一个整分区，用PQ拷了原来第一块硬盘上的某分区到第二块硬盘上，结果就出现这种错误了
