[讨论]无法进入桌面了

前几天好好的
今天就这样了
我是ubuntu 7.10 desktop 的
开机提示
kinit:name_to_dev_t(/dev/disk/by-uuid/2fdca461-11e8-48f8-8174-45792a4a8dc2)=sda10(8,10)
kinit:trying to resume from/dev/disk/by-uuid/2fdca461-11e8-48f8-8174-45792a4a8dc2)=sda10(8,10)
kinit:no resume image,doing normal boot.....

但可以执行命令行 就是进入不了桌面
不一会还说X server 无法启动

这是怎么回事啊我是新手对linux挺感兴趣 望各位帮忙

我是因为要屏蔽触摸板，然后按论坛里的一个帖子那样修改了xorg.conf 文件，再就是按其方法重启，就进行命令行了，进不了桌面，我看书上说用命令：stratx 我用了，但是出来很多信息，都不怎么懂，大概好下：

把xorg.conf改回来原来的 样子,屏蔽触摸板在那个系统-->首选项-->鼠标里面就有选项可以屏蔽了

修改 xorg.conf 之前没有备份吗？
直接覆盖不就行了？

没有备份，但是现在把增加的那两条删了，恢复了原样就行了，谢谢LS的各位兄弟哈！！但是在鼠标里的那个触摸板还是不能屏蔽它呀？

救命啊······· 我昨天晚上升级到8.04以后也进不去系统了，情况也更LZ差不多怎么办啊。本来第一次重启动可以进但是鼠标一直动不了，后来乱搞了一下就进不去系统了。大侠快献身吧！！！！！

是的，肯定是昨晚到今天早上某个升级的问题，我也一样，8.04，进不了login window，就一个鼠标等待，在中间转圈圈。

如果你的症状和我一样，打不开login的界面，只有浅色背景，一个鼠标在中间转圈圈，这么个死法，那这个问题可以解决，请看下面。

想了想，还是不要太懒，转贴一下算了。

1.在卡住的浅色界面 按 Ctrl-Alt-F1

2. 以管理员登录（可以用sudo的）

3. 编辑 gdm.conf 例如: sudo nano /etc/gdm/gdm.conf

4. 找到 Greeter=/usr/lib/gdm/gdmgreeter
把他修改为 Greeter=/usr/lib/gdm/gdmlogin

5. 重启 GDM 如此这般 sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart
...或者干脆重启。

这大概是昨晚某个升级引起的。
