Wireless is supported well in the LiveCD, you just need the following steps to enjoy it.
1) install two packages: network-manager and network-manager-gnome
2) comment out all interface configuration from the file "/etc/network/interface".
3) if reported "The NetworkManager applet could not find some required resources. It cannot continue." , please run the following command to repaire it manually:
sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor/
