suddenly some software runs slowly

I hope you can understand me , but I have to speak in E because even the scim has problem
I don't even know why , but just like Firefox and amule or Console ,OR eva,they runs very slow ,And evey Click could creat an condition that the software interface became Gray and I have to wait for maybe 20 seconds to continue the operating. But luckily the Nautilus works fine .
But I don't know why ^

So I return back now .
I upgrade my system to 8.10 but the problem exists still.
I think I didn't do any bad thing to the system ,except upgrade the 'Rdesktop" .But I find that thing doesn't affect.
Now , except the nautilus works nomally ,the other software run very slow .
I just want to know how to find the reason ^
