第一次装linux遇到好多问题,希望好心人来解答

我安的是ubuntu 5.10
1,我用的是教育网,但交大和清华的源好像都用不了,别的又太慢,什么也更新不了,还有没有 教育网的源了?

2,自带的totem,运行后就显示以下内容
There were no decoders found to handle the stream, you might need to install the corresponding plugins

3.自己安的realplayer能播rm,rmvb,就是没声音(声卡绝对没问题)

还有就是想问一下哪个播放器什么都能播的, qterm哪下得着(在教育网的范围内)?

非常喜欢linux,但就是遇到这些不爽的事(特别第一条),

哪位知道请帮帮忙,多谢了!

cn.archive.ubuntu.com是亚洲官网，这个应该不错，教育网的几个镜像好像都有问题。

下面是转贴的一些源.后面几个就是教育网的源.

把前面的#去掉. 然后把edgy替换成breezy就可以了. 不过5.10有点老,你可以试试升级到6.06,或者6.10.

删除系统自带的totem-gstreamer，安装totem-xine和w32codecs包

源已经解决了,但播放器还有点小问题
根据http://www.linuxsir.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=199254 对mplayer的安装
下到了all-20061022.tar.bz2和windows-all-20061022.zip,但是不知道住哪放(我用源安装的mplayer),我照他说的放在/usr/lib/codes/里,好像没什么变化,请指教...........谢谢
