UBuntu安装时"ACPI: Unable to locate RSDP"问题的解决办法

在启动UBuntu安装光盘后,会看到从F1到F6的选项,按F6,在命令行的最后加上"acpi=off"(不包括引号),回车,就可以继续安装了.

今天在一下的机器上用这个方法解决了问题. 安装的是UBuntu 6.10 Server.
因为这PC很老了,配置是:
奔腾100(超到120), 96M内存,6G IDE硬盘.

that the right what I need now.
but I still meet another problem,there is a error happened in I/O SMBus .
my computer is fairly old.
CPU pentium 200MHZ
106000kbytes
I would deeply appreciate if who can give me a hand .
