删除所有的scim，全部重新安装这个。
你确定是这个问题？

I have got the same error with mxch, and I remove and reinstall scim follow oneleaf's advice.
now I have SCIM, but can not start chinese input method!
synaptic still can't be open!

BTW, modules of SCIM are not as same as hoary.

论坛里有贴子，是scim的问题，删除scim-gtk2-immodule 可以了，其它的段错误也可以试一下。

now scim and synaptic can be used.
but after i delete some old kernerls, scim can't be open.
so strange.

升级绝对没问题，我已升级成功。 ：）
