[问题]第一次发帖，紧急求助！！！

首先说明本人是ubuntu的菜鸟，想装上学习一下linux。
我下载了论坛里的6.10版。
但是启动后第一步就遇到了麻烦：
在“Loading...”之后一直显示：“isolinux: Disk error ED, AX = 4280, drive 9F Boot failed”
无论怎样都进行不下去。
但是在我的朋友的笔记本上却可以安装。
是不是硬件的问题？
我的笔记本是：COMPAQ Evo N620C
大家快来帮帮我呀，我真的想学习linux。。。

你是硬盘安装？光盘安装？刻盘用的光盘是650MB，还是700MB，你朋友用的是你的那张光盘?
不过似乎不同的错误代码，所以也许不是相同的原因

sorry，可能是我讲得不清楚
我用的是《Ubuntu 6.10 Edgy 中文社区发行版发布》里面的资源。用bt下的iso文件，刻成光盘。大约650MB
将光盘放入我的笔记本，重启，就出现上边的错误。提示“按任意键重试”但是不管用。
我朋友的笔记本是acer的，用同一张光盘可以进行安装。

抱歉，更正一点：刻盘用的目盘是：cd-rw 700MB
