[问题]为何UBUNTU无法保存我的XORG.CONF设置呢?

我是菜鸟。我用的是双头显示,一台LCD,一台CRT。

NVIDIA-GLX驱动已经安装,但是NVIDIA-SETTINGS却不能在正常模式下使用:正常的NVIDIA-SETTINGS应该是5~6行设置项,我的却只有一行,根本无法设置。错误信息是ERROR:…………(具体信息忘记了 :oops: 现在在WINDOWS下,无法还原错误信息)。

于是我到RECOVERY命令行模式下,重装了NVIDIA驱动,并在XORG.CONF中设置了TWINVIEW参数。然后STARTX,问题就解决了。双屏能正常扩展显示,工作良好。而且NVIDIA-SETTINGS也能正常工作。遂在NVIDIA-SETTINGS中将设置SAVE TO XORG.CONF。然后重启。

重启到正常模式后,启动时显示NVIDIA LOGO(表示驱动安装良好),但是进入桌面后,发现鼠标只能在CRT范围内(1280*1024)内运动,无法扩展到LCD,虽然LCD也有显示,而且不是CLONE模式。
运行NVIDIA-SETTINGS,又出现一开始无法正常运行的情况和ERROR提示信息。

重复若干次都是如此。能请教大家,这到底是怎么回事吗?:(

补充一句:XORG.CONF文件已经改成了RECOVERY模式下修改的内容。所以说本帖题目并不贴切。

应该说在RECOVERY模式下能实现的显示效果,在正常模式下却无法还原。

没用过双屏,不太懂,,,双屏是两个屏幕显示同样内容么? 还是工作区扩展了?
正常模式重装一次驱动呢?

我所希望用的是“独立双屏模式”,就是两个屏幕互相不影响,窗口最大化也只是最大化到一个屏幕的大小。但是两个屏幕之间鼠标可以自由来往,窗口也可以从一个屏幕拖动到另外一个。

所以并非是克隆模式。

我在正常模式下重装过很多次驱动了,也修改过很多次XORG.CONF文件,一丁点儿作用都没有。

也许我的描述太过复杂了吧。那把问题简化一下。
为何两台显示器使用工作区扩展模式的时候,鼠标只能在主显示器的范围(1280*1024)内移动呢?
