[问题]Reinstall ubuntu 5.10 issue

Hi guys
i have a big issue about the intall of ubuntu 5.10

before i do .there are two systems in my loptop,

hda1 windowxp
hda8 ubuntu5.10

this moring i want to reinstall the ubunto
so i put the CD in and reboot . after i formant the hda8(ext3) to (rfs) and wrote to disk the install process can't going on.
i don't know why... after that i reboot and install again the install still can not going on. what happened? can anyone save me?? thanks..
