Compiz 究竟怎么了？

今天从7.04升级到7.10。想尝试一下desktop effects，system-preferences-appearance-visual effects，发现选除了"None"以外的任何一个选项，屏幕闪了几下之后弹出“desktop effects could not be enabled”。于是上论坛查找相关的帖子。许多人都有相似的问题，但似乎没有一个确切的解决办法。试过从Synaptic删掉所有和Compiz有关的pakage再重新裝，没有用。显卡正常，但compiz --replace后出现

用的是Nvidia的显卡，需要装Xgl吗？

Restricted Drivers Manager is installed and my graphics driver is in use

按照这个帖子viewtopic.php?t=83569的方法装了xgl后，能够开启compiz的效果，可是系统非常卡，用起来很不方便。现在已经把xgl卸载掉，期待更好的解决方法。

想补充一点，当我选择Visual Effects里Normal一项时，屏幕闪动了几下，出现短暂的compiz开启的状态后才弹出"could not be enabled"，这是否说明了什么问题呢？无法开启compiz的朋友是否出现同样的情况？
