［已经解决］NVIDIA Geforce2 MX/MX400安装显卡驱动问题

系统是最新版本的ubuntu8.10

硬件驱动里面没有任何驱动

屏幕分辨率太低

只有800＊600

无法提高

所以看了一下贴子

在网络上面下载了NVIDIA－Linux-x86－96.43.07-pkg1.run

进入文本模式安装
在输入sudo sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-96.43.07-pkg1.run以后

会有以下的提示了

接受以后

过一段时间提示安装不成功

去看了nvidia-installer.log里面的文件

不是很懂

sudo apt-get install rcconf把rcconf装上。
然后sudo rcconf，把gdm，kdm前面的星号去掉，重启后就进文本界面了。装好驱动再进rcconf，把gdm选上就行了。
