Problem of installing Ubuntu, help~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was going to install Ubuntu as my second operating system. (The windows XP had been already installed in my laptop.) I used Partition Magic under XP to seperate a unused space which is about 20G for installing Unbuntu.

But at the end of intalling Ubuntu, the following error message showed:

Another big problem is I can not access to my windows XP after this happened. I can only use Ubuntu live CD to post this prolem here, that is why I used English. Sorry about that.

This had happened several times, I had format my XP serveral times. I dont want to delete my XP , on the other hand, I did want to install Ubuntu. What shall I do now? What shall I do now? I really need help, thanx.

终于可以用xp了，我还是用修复盘修复的xp引导区才能进来，下次开机还得用这张盘。

貌似安装ubuntu把xp的引导区给弄坏了，而且ubuntu也安装不成功。到底是怎么回事啊？我以前装过两次ubuntu都没出过问题。

在简要地说明一下我的问题：

Ubuntu安装失败不要紧，关键是现在连进xp都出问题了，每次开机都要用光盘修复引导区才能进xp。各位达人帮帮忙啊，这种情况已经出现几次了，我已经重装过几次xp了，不想再重装了。但是本人又非常喜欢ubuntu,想投入ubuntu的大家庭，怎么解决这个问题呢？谢谢啦。

Partition Magic 分的区好像不标准会以后有麻烦。我有遇到使用分区魔术师分区后导致grub安装失败的现象。
建议直接使用XP的磁盘管理来进行，或者使用Ubuntu自带的分区工具。

在winXP下面装一个GRUB for dos，应该可以先修复XP的启动问题。

还没装过Ubuntu，不太明白问题出在哪

不过既然有log，可能和Python有关。

重新安装的话看看可不可以把Python相关的开发工具去掉，可以的话就去掉试试。

那我现在应该办呢？我现在没办法装ubuntu，每次装他都给我报那个错误.

XP不是问题，我可以用以后用ndd在dos下面修复。关键是我现在没办法装ubuntu啊，您说的Python是什么东东啊，我用的是那个安装盘是先进入一个ubuntu的界面，然后双击一个install的图标才开始装的，应该是live CD吧。如果是live CD,那我可以删除里面的东西吗？那是可读不可写的啊.

如果不能选择是否安装相应的工具的话，那Ubuntu的安装确实不够人性化了。
