网上有cd的免安装运行方法。

注意事项里有：
#1、由于原来的initrd.gz没有支持ntfs,所以*.iso,ubuntu.fs,swap.fs文件不能放在ntfs分区中
但是DVD的ISO一般大于4G,在windows下必须放在NTFS分区。
有没有人试验过DVD免安装运行的？

可以作为LiveDVD运行。用DVD版安装选择中文，安装后就是中文环境，不够就是大了点，4.289G。

Absolutely no problem, when you install Ubuntu, you choose stop the installing, it will go to the disk operation directly! You can use it as disk operation!
