1st. i can't input chinese after update and reboot;

2nd. i lost my video card diver after reboot, and the desktop is 800*600 now,1280*800 is the better size;

3rd. the speed of update is very slow, i have changed many station,but it's go ahead, and u? why??

1.have u change the language into Chinese?the scim works well?
2.don't cancel when upgrading still going on
3.you can try aptoncd to get upgraded software.
4.my English is so-so ,forgive me

安装了汉语语言包，就可以输入中文了System->Admiinstration->Language Support里面
剩下来两个问题，你可以等你解决第一个问题后，能输入中文了，自己在网上寻找答案了^_^

PS：有可能是你在Update的过程后中止了，造成你的包出现问题，你可以用这个命令修复sudo apt-get -f install

装完了终于～～～～

偶一晚上就装了5次，今早又重装了XP，结果由于是菜蛋，硬盘分区搞坏了，现在除了个6G的C盘其他的全RAW了，搞得我都不敢动了，晦气，想发个贴子求个解结果发不了！

1st.you can get the ubuntu for dvd type that include chinese language and other important packages
install again,you will not need to update online.
2nd.you can search how to install the video card drivers
3rd,dvd type setup disk will install all the needed packages from the online update.
