开机后显示 cannot display this video mode 怎么办啊？ 在线等`

开机后 好像很正常 但最后停在了一个黑屏 正中间显示两行英语 Cannot display this video mode , optimum resolution 1280*1024 60Hz

我该怎么办啊？？

我的机器是 dell optiiplex 320
显卡是 ATI Xpress 1100的

配置：
》ubuntu 8.10
》主板上双显卡 ATI ＋兼容显卡 ，我设置切换过两个都是一样的不能开机。
》我使用CDRom开机，在菜单界面，F4 选择安全图形模式；再选第一个硬盘开机；
到 os 选择界面，选择 Recover mode开机，会到又一个选择菜单，选择Xfix ,看到恢复了xorg.conf
备份了当前的。再回来，选择resume,开机。这时，有时能开机，有时同样不能开机［现象同上］。

到处收集设置显卡分辨率的信息，还是没有解决。

＝＝＝＝＝＝开机仍然显示不支持1280下1024＝＝＝＝
＝1、光盘启动 ＝＝F4 选第2个 安全。。。 ＝然后从硬盘启动
＝2、grub菜单：选择recover mode ==xfix ==resume
=3、能开机进Xwindow
＝查看 /etc/X11/xorg.conf 变成了如下：

安装了个startupmanager ,把开机设置成1024x768 ，800x600；都不能开机。显示光标闪烁界面。就一直那样闪烁。。。。。

反正就是进不了图形界面，cannot display。。。

搞定了。。。

不知道怎么搞好的。

进ubuntu后按 ESC， 选择启动方式， 结果乱码，吓死了。

胡乱选了第二个，也不知道是什么启动方式。突然就出现图形界面了。

然后说继续安装，才知道原来是安装后配置未完全，等它检测系统配好后就ok了。

人品爆发了！
