安装8.04出现的问题

我的笔记本是华硕的，上面已经装了个XP SP3，想再装个ubuntu8.04。之前也在台式机上用硬盘装过ubuntu8.04。这次安装前面也都还挺顺利的，不过到后面分区的时候就出现问题了。
进入到ubuntu的安装界面的分区时，如图

选择了manual后就出现问题了，这里并没有显示我的机子的分区情况
按理来说，这步应该显示分区情况，然后选择预先划好的空闲分区

当我双击/dev/sda/时，出来下面画面

按continue后，就直接是显示250G整个硬盘的空间

这之后我就不敢继续下去，因为他直接在我的250G硬盘下让我分区，这不是要把我XP的系统都格了吗

不知道有没有人知道这是什么错误，在XP下我想用PM对硬盘重新分区，可老提示117错误，打不开PM，不知道与这有没有关系
或者说是分区表损坏了？

是的，分区表错误
sudo fdisk -l
和
sudo parted /dev/sda print
会告诉你错误的细节。

分区表错误在双系统的情形实在太常见了，官方应该给一个解决的方案才对
