请教如何让Ubuntu 8.04 Server识别4颗四核CPU?

服务器为安装了4颗INTEL E7310的DELL-R900,服务器BIOS中CPU为64位,未打开虚拟化支持。ubuntu 8.04 SERVER缺省安装启动自检只能发现两个物理CPU。如何让Ubuntu 8.04 Server识别出机器上安装的这4颗四核CPU? cpuinfo和menu.lst信息如下:

目前除了自己编译内核似乎没别的办法。官方始终坚持CONFIG_NR_CPUS=8
