关于XP下外接硬盘安装Ubuntu9.04刷系统求教

晚生第一次接触桌面linux系统，安装过程中遇到很多问题，折腾了一天，终于可以勉强进入Ubunt系统，但XP无法进入了～～
原本是XP(MCE）系统的笔记本 外接500G 3.5寸硬盘，本准备在外接硬盘上划100G安装ubuntu，未遂 。装完重启 不规则出现错误17和21，只能用liveCD进入临时系统。后将外接硬盘完全用作Ubuntu，并在开机时按esc手动选择外接硬盘启动，才出现多系统引导页面，可进入Ubuntu系统，若选择xp则出现错误11。（如果开机时不用esc选择又会出现错误17）。看了几篇关于外接硬盘双系统安装的教程，并试着更改，仍不起作用。XP始终无法进入，要用的软件都在xp里，想请教下有没有什么办法使xp恢复正常，最好是不要重装XP,工程太大了～
