how to open envyng???

i just installed envyng-gtk through synaptic by searching envyng-gtk, and after installation, it didnt show up in the "applications" menu. how should i use this program? i wanna to install ati x1300 driver on my nc6400,and wanna to install compiz.
last night, i tried to install ati driver using envyng in the text mode, after installation and reboot, it crashed. i tried to fix it in the recovery mode, but failed, ft, can anyone help me?please!!!
