VMware 6.5 安装Ubuntu9.04无法共享磁盘目录的解决方法

目前大家安装时报错，主要是因为内核版本中的参数与程序中的参数不一致的缘故，目前未在网上发现其他解决补丁，
本人尝试修改了page.c报错部分，经编译通过，与大家共享。

VMware 6.5版本的 vmware tools 安装方法：
首先加载相关安装盘，具体不再详述。
将vmware tools.tar.gz文件解压至/tmp目录
将以下文件解压：
sudo tar -xvf /tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/lib/modules/source/vmhgfs.tar
将文件
/tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/lib/modules/source/cvmhgfs-only/page.c
替换为附件中的文件
重新打包
cd /tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/lib/modules/source/
rm vmhgfs.tar
sudo tar -cvf vmhgfs.tar cvmhgfs-only/
cd /tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/
执行安装程序：
sudo ./vmware-install.pl -d
自动至安装完成

我先前安装的vmtools不能共享文件夹，看到楼主的帖子后又按照帖子重新安装了一次vmtools，但是还是在文件夹里看不到共享的文件，安装的时候也没有报告什么错误，不知道怎么回事。

我看了下实际上有这个目录

PS:/tmp/vmware-tools-distrib/lib/modules/source/vmhgfs.tar

这个压缩包里的文件夹,我的名字是vmhgfs-only,不是你你说的cvmhgfs-only

先执行 sudo vmware-uninstall-tools.pl 卸载vmwaretools,再按照一楼直至完成。

请问怎么解压呀...点右键好象没有,全是英文，看不懂.....我是最最新新新的手.....以前从来没接触过ubuntu

开始自己编译VM失败N次，最后放弃用BUNDLE包装了囧
改天重新编译安装试试～

to ls：
打开终端输入
tar zxvf vmware tools.tar.gz /tmp
后面那个是你的文件名，打几个字母用TAB键就补全了，完了就自动解压了 zxvf是4个参数，具体请man tar

我现在就在桌面上看到vmware tools的一个光盘,里面有3个东西,manifest.txt VMwareTools-7.8.5-156735.i386.rpm VMwareTools-7.8.5-156735.tar.gz 到底怎么弄啊...

打开终端
cd /media/VMware tools
sudo tar zxvf VMwareTools-7.8.5-156735.tar.gz /tmp
就这样就解压到/tmp了
