我的显卡是8800GT，装了系统推荐的180驱动不能显示1440*900的分辨率，我的显示器是19寸的液晶，这个是最佳分辨率。我在显卡设置那自己修改了一个1440*900的分辨率，用了之后桌面窗口显示不完整，怎么才能解决这个问题？顺便贴出我的xorg.conf

应该选择液晶吧 CRT 没有19宽
注意看你选的是 CRT 1024*768

你可以 sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg 一下，可能你的显示器识别有问题，重新config一下很有可能可以解决，
还有貌似你的 X Screen选择也有问题，你可以试一下，在X Screen选项卡里面的MetaMode选择一下符合你显示器的分辨率和色深，然后Apply一下。
你最好通过终端输入sudo nvidia-settings来启动nvidia的设置面板，不然你的设置无法保存。
都做完后记得Save to X Configure File一下，通常都可以解决。

9.04我也试了一下，分辨率无法调好，又回到8.04，不折腾。

红色部分用gtf 1440 900 75获得（有的液晶显示器只支持60的刷新，把75改成60就行了），这个问题搞了很久，最总google解决了。LZ可以试试，毕竟我用的不是UB，是debian，呵呵！
