NV分辩率设置问题，请教～（已解决，只要改一个字）

哎....... 花了5天时间...每天>5小时.....还搞不定这个问题..........
看了N多的文章，重装了3次ubuntu系统，装了N次（10次以上吧）的NV显卡驱动.....
都要准备放弃了~~~！！！

刚才总算是搞定了~~~原来只要改一个字就OK了！！！！

将 /etc/X11/xorg.conf中的
HorizSync 28.0 - 55.0
改成： HorizSync 28.0 - 92.0
就多出许多分辩率可以选择，原来没有的1280X1024就出来了，实在是晕.......！！！！！！
（不知道它为什么不认识我的显卡的显示器？？！！！）

几天下来，实在是走了太多的弯路了：
1、光盘安装系统，完成后中文竟然不全，要再去下载。这倒没什么难的，可是那个默认的下载点，下载速度平均只有几KB.....下载安装汉字字体，用了我一个晚上的时间！！！....还有：自动测试源服务器时，找到的是一台美国的服务器，然而连接时竟然无法解析地址~~！直到我第三次重装时，我才明白，换个中国的cn99.com的服务器才快，速度1200K/s以上，哎.....白白浪费了NN多的时间......
2、装好系统后，x window中没有pppoe上网设置，要用命令去设置和连接，对我这样的新手来说，还有些不方便......在x window中的那个根本就没用......

NV7300GT/256M，安装了NIADIA驱动，也改了N次了，可就是不成功。。。
没装驱动时，分辩率只有800X600和640X320，安装NV驱动后，有了好多，但没有1280X1024
看了好多的文章，改了好久都不行，重新启动后又回到800X600，晕哦.....都搞了三天了..........

起先和你一样安装方式，我的还要怪，看的到有，但就是不让你装，连错误提示都没有，我是源里的驱动一个也没法装。没法，只能用官方驱动。

你可以先把装的驱动删了，再换个版本低的试试。还不行就用官方驱动。论坛里安装方法有很多，你可以搜搜。

清除xorg.conf。生成一个，应该是用这个哦。

然后，看分辨率部分，不同的色深depth 16/24那些，添加1280x1024。

如果是904，xorg.conf里面都没分辨率了。我的1280x800，反正认到。

我装的是9.04.
请问楼主，我NV9400GT的显卡装好后重启，显示器提示频率超出范围。
可以闭着眼睛进入桌面，但看不到桌面啊。
ctrl+alt+f1 进入shell，想修改xrog.conf，提示can't open file，不能打开文件。我用自己的用户名gong或者root都不可以。
你是怎么修改这个文件的？

这个方法很好，但最好根据自己使用的显示器的参数更改xorg.conf中的行频与场频数值。

A卡没有这样的问题，但A卡存在刷新率问题，LCD比较幸运，但CRT就惨了----即便安装官方驱动也刷不到85HZ、90HZ、100HZ。
