2）把你下载的iso改名为ubuntu910.iso也放在C盘根目录。
3）从iso内的casper文件夹内提取initrd.lz和vmlinuz也放在C盘根目录。
重启电脑就可以选ubuntu9.10进入9.10的live CD了。

进 入ubuntu9.10的live CD后，首先必需要打开终端输入 cd /（注意这里cd和 / 之间有一空格）回车，再输入 sudo umount -l isodevice回车，或直接输入 sudo umount -l / isodevice回车 (这中间有一 / ），输入正确后，桌面会自动弹出ISO所在分区，
(iso改名为ubuntu910.iso放U盘，可以跳过此步，强烈有U盘的同学使用这个方法，本人就是一直这样安装的)
接下来，双击桌面上install ubuntu9.10图标，看图安装吧！就这么简单！，安装语言选中文
安装前建议断网。切记，安装过程中不要更新，安装后换了最快的源更新。。。
分区（保留WIN，方便以后硬盘安装UBUNTU和系统进不去时求助）没有的分区自己新建。。。
sda1和sda5是原来WIN的C和D盘，保留。。。
sda6 ext4 /boot 100MB
sda7 ext4 / 20G
sda8 ext4 /home 90G 重装你格式化，保留原有数据
sda9 linux-swap 2G
继续安装，整个过程大约20分钟。安装完毕会提示重启。安装详细过程请看WIKI

安装后先联网，本人是ADSL拨号：应用程序-附件-终端sudo pppoeconf 安提示操作就OK
修改软件源sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list 或者 新立德 中自动PING检测最快的，然后更新语言包。

解决FLASH乱码：
浏览器firefox安装flash插件后，安装第2个，浏览FLASH是又检测提示， 你可能会发现中文会变成方框。
如何解决？
输入：
cd /etc/fonts/conf.d/
为了安全，备份一下：
sudo cp 49-sansserif.conf 49-sansserif.conf_backup
输入如下指令：
sudo gedit ./49-sansserif.conf
此时文件显示内容。
将其中的第1、2、4个后面的sans-serif或者serif用你自己系统中支持中文的字体的名字代替，注意字体名字的大小写
比如：我用的是文泉驿正黑，我则用“文泉驿正黑”代替上述所说的字段，结果如下：

首先，我们需要准备如下软件：
1、可以播放rmvb文件和wmv文件的totem解码器，我想大家大概都有这个。
2、totem-pps，就是那个运行在totem里的pps插件，我想这个是绕不开的。安装方法请参照：viewtopic.php?f=74&t=223582
3、Firefox下的Greasemonkey插件，这个是用来将客户的js代码嵌入网页的插件，非常神奇。
firefox搜索安装Greasemonkey插件 https://addons.mozilla.org/zh-CN/firefox/addon/748
4、totem-plugin，让Firefox能够使用totem。一般的Ubuntu系统都是默认安装的。
然后，在Greasemonkey里添加这个脚本就可以了：
