[问题] NVIDIA显卡驱动问题 [已解决]

我在虚拟机 VM中安装ubuntu

装好 ubuntu 6.06 后，打开 “系统”－>“首选项”－>“屏幕分辨率”后，
发现屏幕分辨率是 1024*768，刷新率是 60Hz，并且无法修改！

接着，就按照Wiki上面的步骤，安装NVIDIA显卡驱动，安装完后，重启X-server，
系统提示发生错误，无法进入X-window。

我想问下大虾：NVIDIA的显卡驱动该怎么装？我现在该怎么做？到底是什么原因造成这样子的阿？

注：
VM版本：VMware Workstation 5.0
操作系统：windows xp sp2
CPU：p4 2. 8G
内存： 2G DDR，分配给虚拟机1G内存
显卡：(MSI) NVIDIA 7600
显示器： 17' CRT

裝vmware的Tools...不要裝nv驅動

vmware的硬件都是虛擬的

装了VMware tools后，还是不能修改刷新率啊...

只有60Hz一个选项...

我的解决方法是：
找到/->/etc->/x11->xorg.conf 打开它
我的配置是：
Section "Monitor"
Identifier "hp 7500"
HorizSync 30-70
VertRefresh 60-100
Option "DPMS"

一开始的时候我的分辨率调不了是因为我没加上：
HorizSync 30-70
VertRefresh 60-100
后来加上这个就重启后就好使了。
我就是只知道这些了，希望能对你有所帮助

x11 文件夹是干什么用的啊？

xorg.conf又是什么东东的配置文件啊？

照5楼的方法改，好像仅仅是改了一下配置文件，对吗？

我已按照5楼的，修改了xorg.conf，可以修改刷新率了，hoho~~~

不过，虽然可以修改刷新率了，

可是，分辨率无法修改，

如果把默认的1024*768修改成800*600的话，就成花屏了......

不用装你nv驱动的
我用vm装好拉ubuntu，显示就不错拉，我的vm是5.5.2版本的
你可以试一下装vm tools

其实新手在做什么系统重大改动之前 可以用GHOST8.3备份下LINUX分区 这样就有备无患了
