除了用 Boot Camp 在 Mac 使用 Windows XP 外，其實還有另外的方法，就是使用 Virtualization，就像 VMWare 那樣。

Parallels Workstation 就是這類軟件，善用了 dual-core processor 及 Intel Dual-Core CPU 內置的 Virtualization Technology，從而實現同一時間數個 virtual machines 執行不同的 OS，不單只是 Windows XP，其他版本的 Windows、Linux、FreeBSD、Solaris、OS/2 甚至是 MS-DOS 也可，但究竟效能有多好？從 “ProdEDGY: Windows XP on Mac OS X using Parallels is FAST!” 這篇文章內的影片可以看到，真的頗快，當然是及不上 Boot Camp，但 virtualization 的方便是 Boot Camp 所不能提供的。

但從 Wired News: Windows on Mac, Simultaneously 得知，原來 Mac Mini 的 CPU 是沒有 Intel Virtualization Technology 的，所以效能上是不及 iMac Core Duo 及 MacBook Pro 的。
