[问题]what's the difference between DVD installation and VCD?

Hi, I found(FT, diqiuren all found!) that Ubuntu 7.04 can be installed by DVD or VCD.

I installed 6.10 by VCD, and this time, I use 7.04 to install, but I cannot find any difference between them when I use the system!

Obviously, the DVD disk contains about 4 gigabytes content, but VCD disk contains less than 1 gigabytes, what does the extra 3 gigabytes contains of the DVD be used for?

Just a small case -- cannot input Chinese now, I chose "Simple Chinese" during the course of installation, but it seems to be invalid.

But I dont know how to find and install them by DVD disk, when I use 'Application'->'Add/Remove...' , it still connect to Internet!

Can you tell me what can I do to use the bound of third-party software directly from the DVD disk?

终于把汉字输入给搞好了！

我就在安装系统的时候用了一下DVD，安装别的什么软件的时候都是从网上下载的，是不是那些软件，比如新立得里边的，都可以在DVD中找到阿？

如果不把DVD用起来，我都觉得太浪费了，但是，怎么用呢？望达人不吝赐教！

应该是新立德里面，软件库设置下~加入那张dvd~如果网上没有比dvd更新的版本就会用dvd中的安装~如果有新版本的话会从网上down~~
