无法进入x ，大虾帮忙

今天开机突然系统说：
“i cannot start the x server(your graphical interface).It is likely that it is not set up correctly..........”
然后我按他说的进去看，它说有
＂Fatal server error:Could not open default font 'fixed';the X server's font paths might be misconfigured, remote font server may be unreached,and/or local font may not be install or are not configured correctly＂

字体设置出错了,字体路径配置错了,远端的字体服务器没有找到,本机字体没有被安装或者配置错误.

不过,具体怎么作我就不知道了. :twisted:

我也遇到同样郁闷的问题了，大侠帮帮忙啊
我找了很久都没有找到字体fixed,xorg.conf也没有动过，重装了x-window-system和gdm，都没有用，下面是Xorg.0.log内容

问题解决了！！！！

cd /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc
less fonts.alias
应该会出现
!! fonts.alias -- automatically generated file. DO NOT EDIT.
!! To modify, see update-fonts-alias(8).
!! /etc/X11/fonts/misc/xfonts-base.alias
! $Xorg: fonts.alias,v 1.3 2000/08/21 16:42:31 coskrey Exp $
fixed -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso8859-1
variable -*-helvetica-bold-r-normal-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1
……

看到没有，就是说fixed存在。接下来
cd ..
回到了/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts
sudo fc-cache -fv misc
完成后，修改你的xorg.conf
sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
在Section "Files"添加
FontPath "/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/misc"
保存，重启。
如果还没有解决，继续发帖探讨。

scientist能否先试试 update-fonts-alias ，看看能否解决，不能的话再使用上面的方法？

你的5.04还是5.10啊？
我用5.04的时候老出这个问题，甚至一天重装两次的，用了5.10还不错，这10来天只重装过一次
