[问题]有劳各位，为什么安装GCC不成功？

rpm是redhat类发行版的安装格式，deb才是debian/ubuntu。不用下安装包，用新立得装就可以了。

黑黑，安装了两个系统，一个是ubuntu,一个是centos 5 想试试最为原始的安装格式哦，结果弄不来。新手来的哦
帮我看看，这到底是什么原因？下载的是TAR包，三个步子吧：1、./configure;2、make;3、make install ;解压没问题，结果到安装就遇到问题 了，乍么解决呀？求解～

解压后目录里有什么？ls解压后的目录，把结果贴上来！不同的内容有不同的安装方法。有直接安装的，也有编译安装的。
你装什么软件要去下安装包？很多软件都能用新立得装，启动新立得，搜索你要的软件，安装它，十分容易的。 用debian/ubuntu的话，您应该熟悉新立得。

这此啦，乍办呢？centos 5 系统 ；不是不想用ubuntu 只是想学编驿而已，好象ubuntu好容易哦，谢谢

这不是源代码包，你用configure、make当然不行了。firefox直接到新立得里装就可以了，而且版本很新，何必大费周章呢？！

那我这包要如何安装？我现在在centos 下，它没有所谓的新力得，yum install firefox时慢得象娲牛，firefox是1.5版的，好多插件没法用；要2.0以上，所以要安装新的firefox呀

你不是有ubuntu吗？为什么不用要去用centOS呢？
去下rpm包吧，然后rpm -ivh xxx.rpm(xxx是你下的rpm的名字）
或者去www.firefox.org下源代码包，编译安装。

另外，如果楼主真想学编译步骤。研究下configure生成的makefile，就知道了。这样即使出问题，也能自行解决
