[问题]大虾来看一下我的显卡驱动出了什么问题

我的是acer的lcd 17寸。刚装好ubuntu7.10的时候我装的是受限驱动，其他没管，结果一切都正常，我的是7300gt，分辨率可以调到1024X768,然后我想装一个显卡管理工具,就是nvidia-settings，我装好以后第一次运行还正常，可以改一些设置，然后我重启以后就显示一句话sbin/route:can't excute the binery file，这句话后面些的是fail，我想应该是显卡驱动没正确，我在一个帖子里发现好像要在管理员权限改显卡设置并保存，我可能就是没用sudo，现在一开机就要求我重新配置那些显卡设置，可是我选择了nvidia 7系列，并且分辨率也调到1024X768，但是进入xwindows还是800X600，在屏幕分辨率里不能改，只有一项。然后我在终端输入sudo nvidia-settings可以打开显卡管理但是缺少很多设置，根本不能该分辨率。而且终端提示有错误：

你运行一下这个：看看模块打开没？

还有就是：建议你去英文网站上搜搜看！

谢谢你的回答，我自己搞定了，好像nvidia-settings与nvidia-xgl-new不能共存，我以后不再搞这个nvidia-settings了，现在的已经很好了
